The journeyman behind the guides
About Shutdown Ready
Shutdown Ready is a brand of Divergent Response LLC in Missouri, owned by Trevor Miller of Lee’s Summit. The focus is practical field guides for industrial tradespeople starting traveling shutdown, turnaround, and outage work.
Trevor is a working journeyman millwright with 15+ years of industrial and agricultural maintenance experience. He spent about six years traveling for shutdown and construction work at power plants and paper mills, and has served as foreman over mixed-trade crews.
His welding background includes AWS D1.1 structural welding with SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW in all positions, and 6G pipe on six-inch carbon steel under ASME Section IX using SMAW. He completed the Missouri Welding Institute pipe welding and fitting course, holds OSHA 10, and has an A.A.S. in automotive technology.
Trevor is not a Certified Welding Inspector. These guides are educational resources, not inspections, certifications, or promises of employment. Site rules, employer procedures, and the applicable WPS always take priority.
The Shutdown Traveler Starter Kit is in preparation. Content and release remain subject to Trevor’s review and approval.
